Born in Manchester and exiled in Brussels, David Shaw is deeply marked by the countercultures that clashed during his adolescence (rave, punk, garage). He has made it his sole mission to create music that breaks free from conventional formats and beaten paths.
We have seen him produce electronic music under the alias Siskid, play guitars, bass and keys on the album Burn Your Own Church by Blackstrobe (Beggars, 2007), and collaborate with Jennifer Cardini and Vitalic. He went solo under the name David Shaw And The Beat, whose album So It Goes gracefully married techno and new wave, and co-founded the band DBFC, creators of a gem of synthetic rock with baggy and Madchester echoes.
